lkrtkgz yes that has the id in it. Will check it in the modding files.
-=The_PoLe=- will also check your id in the files. Hope to solve this. Please be patient.

-=The_PoLe=- i think i have found the problem. Your id is in the id list, but i forgot to add it also to the list that updates the ini and dat file so if it is not in there the install will fail. It will be fixed in the next version. Sorry for that.
I am still looking for the other problems.

Hi. I was realy happy to test your programm but...
I've modified XP catalyst 7,5, drivers installed normaly and after reboot there were no errors. But when I'm trying to run any 3D application - it says something like "Failed to create Direct3D device" or "Your video card is not hardware-accelerated". My chip is IGP 340M. |

Сhrono can you check that the driver is installed and that there is no warning in the device manager by the display adapter?

darkrangr have you modded the xp driver? is so did you also try updating the driver through the device manager and then pointing it to the modded xp inf file?

After using Mobility Modder to modify CCC 7.5 from ATI, my computer did a hardware crash where my system was completely unresponsive. I waited until there was no disk activity, then I had to physically power down my system. That's something I don't like doing.
Thanks for making suck a great product ![]() ATI Mobility Radeon X800 Windows Vista |

hygropolrekodine you are the first to have that problem.
I am not sure what could cause it, but it is possible that it happens because there are older drivers on it. You could try uninstalling all ati drivers and then run the new setup again.

I have an Acer Aspire 5672 notebook with Mobility Radeon x1600 (Windows XP Home). The Acer drivers are more than a year out of date so I tried using the mod tool with the latest ATI drivers. They installed fine and Windows seems okay, but when I play Counter-Strike Source the game will freeze after 20-30 seconds, which is far worse than with the original drivers. I haven't tested anything else yet.

Oi, here we go again.
This always wastes hours of time and it never works, but I'll try again anyway. Will there be anything you can do if it doesn't work? |

If it doesn't work you can always uninstall and install the original drivers.
I am not sure why by some people the modded drivers don't work, but i am trying to fix most of it.

Yeah, obviously I can install the original drivers, but is there anything you can do to make your mod program work better with my system?
Different laptops have different hardware setups and require different drivers, that's why there isn't a universal driver package for every ATI Mobility card. |

Whatever, ATI doesn't care about laptops and doesn't ever seem to want to know when anything goes wrong. I'll just wait and see if they happen to accidentally fix it in the next release. Make a support request anyway, it might help. btw, here's a link to the universal mobility driver, which does exist and gets updated with each release. Since only 7.5 is available there now, here's a site with a copy of mobility 7.4; at least it's worth a try. |

thelonesoldier the modder does not make it universal. All main settings in the drivers are the same only the settings for the devices is diferent in the drivers. That is what my modder adds.
So it will add the specific settings for the mobility devices to the inf and other files. foxyshadis i don't know why it happens, but i keep working on the program and hope to improve it. Carol_00 have you tried changing resolution and refresh rate? Maybe it is at the wrong setting.

no CCC on Vista 64 with modded 7.5
Dear all,
when I install my modded Vista 64 bit Catalyst 7.5, the installer does not offer to install the control center. The driver installs fine though. Is there a CCC for Vista 64 bit at all? What can I do to install it? |

Good afternoon. Please add my videoadapter in the list of your good program.
My notebook ACER 3650 series. VIDEO - ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M Series. Vendor and Device ID: VEN_1002&DEV_5A62&SUBSYS_01091025 String in the ati inf files: "ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M Series" = ati2mtag_RC410M, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5A62&SUBSYS_01091025 Big thanks. nsm1975 yes that will be added in the next update. There are 3 of those chipsets and i couldn't find the settings for 2 of them, but i found them now and have added them.
redheat did the installer offer the driver to install only or did you install the driver through the device manager?

I hope you understand that different laptops have different hardware configurations which require different settings. |

I tried to find out how to install it by hand but it consists of multiple packages and none of them work when you install it one by one it seems. |

thelonesoldier i understand that. Working with inf files now for years so i know how that looks and works with the device settings.
Different hardware configurations have nothing to do with the mobility graphics driver. The settings in the inf file for all the Mobility X1600 are the same. So it doesn't matter if you have a Toshiba with an x1600 or a Acer with an x1600 they all use the same settings for the display driver. redheat yep it are indeed different packages. Did you download the right driver? the 64bit version? because that should have a CCC version that can be installed. It is wierd that everything else gets installed. Can you check if the msi files from the CCC are the same date as the inf file?

The CCC msis are all the same date as the driver inf file (I guess this is the inf you meant). Thanks again for all your hints... I really hope this can be fixed somehow or do you know another tool to set the grafics settings with? |
