My FireGL became Radeon X700 ......
Dear Sir,
First, I thank you for your effort to provide so good software to have us can use newest driver from ATI. I followed your instruction and use the software to patch the Catalyst 7.4 and installed, then I found my graphics adapter became ATI MOBILITY RADEON X700 instead of FireGL V5000, but the icon showed at the left lower corner of Catalyst Control Center is the icon of "ATI FireGL", I don't know why this happened, and I either don't know it is X700 or V5000 now, please can help me about this issue. If it became a X700, the 3D performance in CAD such as Pro/Engineer and AutoCAD should be much lower than V5000, right? Thanks very much for your sharing and support. Patrick Wang |

Hi,
Some of the FireGL 5000 have the same hardware ID as the X700 and use the same software settings. The only difference is the Sub System ID. So the only real difference is the name and that should be fixed in the upcomming version. For performance it should not matter. You still have a FireGL 5000
