Intel to release new high performance ULV cpus

Intel are due to release several new Ultra Low Voltage processors (ULV's). The Core I7 640UM and the 620UM. The 6x0 series is set aside for Core i7 dual core Arrandale on the Calpella platform and the 5x0 moniker is reserved for Core i5 series which has 3mb of cache. The Core i7 620UM has 4MB of cache which is the main differences between it and the 520UM.

The Core i7 series is set to overclock much better however in Turbo mode and we can expect around a 1ghz clock difference to around 2.10ghz from the reference 1.06ghz. Intel are set to keep this all running at around 18-20TDP.

Core i7 640UM is also set for release with a clock speed of 1.2ghz and estimates guess around a 2.25ghz final clock speed under Turbo mode. Exciting times ahead for mobile users.
