well i've never had serious problems and thaks to your guide i wont. already use AVG and ADaware as well as windows defender-wd being the least effectual seemingly. I also use firefox and since i havent had any homepage redirection or auto downloads(random programs just showing up). i thought i was pretty clean until spybot ran about 10 items shown on the list with 1 to 10 appended items per item. yikes. spent my afternoon destroying with spybot it was well worth it.
