Basic question about DriveCleaner and Realtek

Hi, all

I hope I haven't wasted my money buying this little app. I bought it because it says it will clean up Realtek drivers, but it just occurred to me that it DIDN'T say WHICH Realtek drivers it will clean up!

My Abit IS7 has onboard BOTH Realtek AC97 audio -AND- a Realtek Fast Internet NIC. I'm going to be getting a new Auzertech Meridian sound card in a few days and I'd heard rumors that without DriverCleaner, some Realtek sound driver remnants would remain and possibly screw things up. But it just occurred to me that I don't know if DriverCleaner would get rid of the sound drivers (which I want) -OR- the NIC drivers (which I DON'T want) -OR- both!

Can you help me out? What will it actually do in this case?

Hi,

The cleaning filter in Driver Cleaner is for the Realtek Audio drivers only. So it will not touch the NIC driver.

Oops, I did spell it wrong in my title Even after reading the clear emphasis on distinguishing the two programs!

But, yeah, I meant DriveRcleaner.
