We are one of the few sites to get a sample of this processor which isn't being sold in the market. We overclocked it on Vapo and managed to get over 6GHZ out of it - which makes it the fastest AMD CPU we have ever tested...

A very impressive display of newer technology from AMD. Exceeding the 6Ghz barrier is quite a feat and in fact I am amazed how close the 955BE came to this with the second cooling solution.

Believe me, we would be happy to consider it as a competition prize but we only had the CPU for a day as they are so rare. Its now heading back to AMD. Thats how scarce they are!

I think Asetek stopped making them which is a shame because ours is on its last legs i think. Over 3 years old now but it has always provided us with a lot of fun.

nice speeds indeed ! not sure it would last long term though but 6ghz is pretty sexy.

well, If its sitting under a vapo chill cooler I'm pretty sure the longevity wouldn't be an issue. At least on the heat side

. However, Condensation would really be the only enemy in that euqation. Not to mention the mobo underneath it holding up to that kind of bus punishment.

Great work guys! I jumped for joy when I saw that OC. Is this an AMD statement. something like "yeah we still got it"

Actually they ARE out. These are nothing more than 'really good' Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition processors. There are always some batches of processors that will OC better than others. These are ones that AMD identified and 'renamed'.

Anyone remember back in the 1.2 Thunderbird days when all of the overclockers wanted the AXIA coded ones?
