Logitech Harmony 1100 Review @ DH

Read The Review Here
_______________
Today we’re going to be looking at the Logitech Harmony 1100, the successor to the popular Harmony 1000. The Harmony 1100 is a universal device allowing you to simplify your entertainment setup by controlling your entire collection of equipment with just one remote. The main feature that sets apart the Harmony 1100 from most universal remotes is the 3.5” LCD touch screen interface.

Looks like a well designed and thought out product. For me as noted in the review I think having to use two hands with it I would find uncomfortable.

If it weren't for the price I would've considered it, but £327 for a remote..?

Re: Logitech Harmony 1100 Review @ DH

Great review. I was mildly interested in it till I read the part about the price. I was expecting perhaps 40-50 quid, but over 300? I am sorry but it is just too much for a remote control. I can see how some people might be willing to pay that much for it, but I just don't see it selling very much. The other thing is the also mentioned requirement for two hands. The whole idea of a remote control is to be lazy...

exactly, how do you flip channels while you're w....... never mind

nice review though. this is one of those toys you only ever see on shows like Grand Designs and the ilk. nobody in the real world has a genuine, practical use for a 300 + quid remote the size of a dvd case, surely.

Re: Logitech Harmony 1100 Review @ DH

Thanks for the review guys, well done. I was on the hunt for a way to reduce remote clutter and I had my eyes on this one. But going to the store and using it in person I feel its more for show than for making your life easier.
Anyway, I ended up going with the Harmony One and its been fantastic. Controls everything I own and I swear its the most perfect feeling remote with the best buttons ever made. Did I mention its less than half the price of this one?
Thanks
