Cooler Master HAF922 Chassis review @ DH

Today we’re going to be looking at another model in the HAF lineup, the HAF 922. The HAF 922 is effectively a brother to the 932 and offers a selection of the key features but in a smaller package at a cheaper price.

A decent looking case from Cooler Master and goes to show everyone doesn't need a full sized tower. The price point is competitive and on the fan noise considering the fan sizes some is to be expected.

Not bad looking.

I think I'll stick with my HAF932 though... I love having such a vast amount of space in the case... great when things enevetibly go wrong... as they have been doing, a lot, lately

I'd have to say go with the HAF932 to, the extra room is a godsend when swapping components and the larger 240mm fans run near silent. I picked my 932 up on a today only offer at scan for £90 but some online retailers still have it for under £100 and you'll appreciate spending the extra.

Little extra point, the lack of a side window and the smaller side mesh really stand out, not keen on it at all. Makes whats not exactly the prettiest case ever look worse. Looks like it loses the option of a triple radiator or 3x120 fans uptop.

I would have to disagree with you on that

Even with using the motherboard's built in fan speed thing to slow them down, I still find them a bit annoying.

Worth it though, to be able to run 3.6GHz 24/7... I wasn't able to do that in my P182 (which was silent )

Re: Cooler Master HAF922 Chassis review @ DH

interesting to read you guys think the 932 is internally spacious, I found it really quite small after moving from the biggest Lian Li Armorcase.

Its all about price points really, the 922 seems decent value for money.

Well... considering the 922 is 89.99 and that's pretty much the price I paid for the 932 - the 932 definitely wins there imo.

Of course, some places will start doing offers on the 922 - would be interesting to see how low it goes, might become good value.

Wouldn't know how it compares to a lian li - i've never had one.

I went from an Antec P182 -> the 932 and despite the 932 only being marginally bigger externally - the internal layout is a significant improvement, even if it isn't as quiet.

The other case I've had in the past few years is the Silverstone TJ09 and the HAF932 feels bigger than that aswell imo.

The 932 is also excellent for cable management - that's probably why it feels so spacious.

yeah, but those things really are huge.
I've got a PC-V2100 and the space inside it is ridiculous

anyway, that does seem like a nice box
personally I don't like the upside down jimmy hill chin thing on cases, but looks ok none the less.
compared to the competition its priced fairly recently too.
nice job with the review as always
