Good read. They seem like nice gaming headphones, too bad they can't live up to music listening's standards. Although they weren't designed for that probably, it would have still been cool to see them perform as well as an all-round pair of headphones.

But, in my case, I wouldn't notice the difference I think. :P

Been using these for a few months since picking them up for ~£90 from play. The review is spot on, they are awesome for games but medicore for music playback. Fiddling with the EQ and base boost does make a huge difference and help it somewhat and makes it very acceptable for music playback. Certainly requires a half decent sound card to get the most out of these headphones.

Only other bad things that springs to mind is the fact it could get quite sweaty after a long gaming session; being a closed headphone afterall. And the mic cannot be detached, meaning you wouldn't be seen down the street with these on.

The mic is top notch, but there is a small hiss in the background which is noticable when dead quiet, however I believe it to be an issue with the soundcard hardware.

Great review and yes I read this on my lunch hour at work again

Sounds like a great gaming headset as mentioned and not really for music which isn't a big deal it is a gaming headset. Nice feedback as well Nicnik I noted you didn't mention anything about managing the cables as Nathan did in the article. Was it too ward of redundancy or you didn't find any issues yourself?

Looks good to me

The length is a tad on the longer side and would be nice if the cords were detachable. But it's okay, it's long enough so that you're not glued to your seat, or having to take the headset off everytime u need to go afk. It's a personal preference thing really. I think it does what its suppose to do especially well.

There are sounds I've never heard before in games with speakers that I end up hearing with these on.

Re: Sennheiser PC-350 Gaming Headset @ DH

Thanks for the review.

Two things worry me. The first is the in line volume controler. These things tend to be the weakest link in many headphones and I prefer if headphones don't have them.

The other is the mentioned lower quality for music playback. Of course I don't know your (reviewers') taste, so perhaps I will think it is fantastic or just plain horrible.
Has anyone used them and the AKG 271S to compare them?
