In our latest Socket 775 roundup we have a collection of Socket 775 motherboards which are aimed at enthusiasts and surprisingly not all come with a huge price tag.

Re: Socket 775 Mobo Roundup (Nov 08)

ddr2 800MHz vs. ddr3 1600MHz in loading times, pls tell me so I don't need to upgrade in vain. I have raid-0, x38, 4gigs 800/1000Mhz and q9450. Stalker and CoH is so low to load. Should I wait 6 months and skip ddr3+x48, and then buy x58+triple ddr3, SSD? stalker runs fine with max, but loading time is no good. finlandos, bad english. Great article, ddr2 vs.ddr3.

Well it was raid problem or vista x64 problem, stalker started to freeze when I try load or save a game. Now I am back to XP, and it is much faster. The problem started when I updated the game and geforce drivers. So now I think I wait 6 moths and then upgrade, though it will be very hard to do.

Re: Socket 775 Mobo Roundup (Nov 08)

HI, i dont think it is your system that is the problem, just the coding of these games.

To help though i have run a quick test. On the P6T Deluxe with an i7-965EE processor and 3x2gb of DDR3 1600 these were our load times in Company Of Heroes (Vista 64+SP1):

1) Desktop to main menu - 13seconds
2) Load Tutorial - 49seconds
3) Load Benchmark - 57 seconds
