GELID GC1 Thermal Compound @ DH
Read The Review Here
___________________ Modern processors produce a lot of heat and it requires large heatsinks with fans to keep everything running to specification. Thermal paste is one of the most critical components for keeping your processor cool, especially for those of us who overclock. The surfaces of processors and heatsink bases may appear to be completely flat to the naked eye but on a microscopic level there are many imperfections. These imperfections create air pockets between the cooler and the CPU which can have a great effect on thermal performance. This reduces the size of the contact area and air is a poor heat conductor.

Re: GELID GC1 Thermal Compound @ DH
how does this stack up to the OCZ Freeze, Tunic TX2, MX-2 and all those similar pastes?

Some of those pics it looks like it is white then one shows it as silver. Is it the camera angle and light or does it just do that? that applicator is a cool feature ,I might try this stuff out if my local store has it.

The paste is actually a light grey/silver, a few of the pictures were post-processed and adjusted which is why it may appear white. The applicator is definitely cool and works really well, and the paste is really easy to spread. Definitely worth a look.

Re: GELID GC1 Thermal Compound @ DH
On a separate occasion we found that against the MX-2 it was pretty much identical
