DH Review: Hiper Anubis
Read The Review Here
___________________ High Performance Group (Hiper), a UK based company, was founded in 2001. They have a varied product catalogue which includes numerous power supplies, coolers and even a few keyboards and video cables. Recently Hiper branched out into computer chassis and the first in their range is the Anubis. The Anubis is made of 6063-T5 alloy which is military specification. This material offers outstanding heat dissipation and is very durable. Lockheed Martin make the wings of their jets with this alloy which is a hell of a talking point. Hiper’s company rules state that their products will have the best quality, design, technology and price so we should be looking at an impressive product today.

Where can I find a 3.5 inch DVD writer?
On page three of the review, the author says, "The top bay is 2.5 and 3.5 inch compatible with the six below being 3.5 inch only."
Can I get a confirmation on that? |

HI, that has turned into a rather interesting question.
The line in the review was based on a visual impression rather than actually installing a drive in the bay. I used the 3rd from bottom 3.5 inch slot as it was close to my SATA ports and helped reduce cable clutter. Initially looking at the top bay I could see that it has the 3.5 inch wide cover with the 2.5 inch section in the centre (both removable) so had assumed that both being removable meant that both drives could be used. Having actually tried to install an optical drive in it today I found the slot is a few millimetres too small (height) to fit a full size 3.5inch drive. Thanks for asking this question, we shall have the review amended asap. |

Slimmer and slightly-improved 'Osiris'?
Is Hiper phasing out the Osiris with this case? They look pretty similar (other than the top-mount PSU and what looks like a slimmer design with this one). I can't find the Osiris for sale in the States.
Does the Anubus have a removable mobo tray? I doubt it since that's likely something you would have highlighted (nice review BTW). Something i never understood is the departure from a side fan to force air on the PCIe areas. In any event, though this appears to be extremely well-made and has an elegant simplistic look, I think there are better options for the money. Thanks for the review. |

HI,
I believe the Osiris and the Anubis will co-exist in the marketplace, and we have a review of the Osiris coming up soon. As for motherboard tray, no this one is not removable. |

I could have sworn that Optical drives are 5.25.... A floppy drive would have been 3.5... and a laptop hardrive is 2.5. Apperantly I've got early onset alzheimers or something.
