I'd like to get a look at the performance of that card in Sli. I was going to build a PC or buy one with 2x 8800 Ultra but decided to wait for Nvidia's latest. If this card on Sli can run Crysis flawlessly, not really on its highest resolution but mainly Very High settings everything cranked and at a decent res than I will buy these cards Sli. I have been waiting for a long time for something like this and I am going to spoil myself.

Check back here next week for Quad SLI performance. We have the results, but they are still under NDA for the moment.

Gx2: To late and to pricey, but looking forward to the SLI results and hopefully new drivers can push performance even higher and price will go down below 400£.

Inconsistent results??
Is it just me or is some of the XFX GX2 (single) review inconsistent with the results from the Quad review?

Primarily in the Oblivion benchmarks as other benchmarks were using different settings from one article to the other. As far as I can tell the test systems are basically the same.
i.e. Single XFX GX2 Review. Oblivion "The resolution was 1920x1200 and 4x anti-aliasing was applied. Anisotropic filtering was set to 16x and HDR enabled"
Average FPS 93.
Single XFX GX2 in the Quad SLi review. "The resolution was 1920x1200 and 8x anti-aliasing was applied. Anisotropic filtering was set to 16x and HDR enabled."
Average FPS 49 with the Quad solution having an average of 66.
Am I missing something here (entirely possible)?
Considering these articles were created only days apart.
Perhaps the ESA box slowed it down.

The obvious difference I can see (from what you quoted) is that the card was tested with 4x AA in the first review and 8x in the second.
It is also possible that different parts of the game were used for the tests, but only the reviewer can tell us that.
P.S. Welcome to DH.
