For a while the number one choice was the 975X chipset but more recently the G33, P35, X38 and X48 have all been released with each targeting a specific market segment. Nice review. I ordered a P5E3 Deluxe this morning and this review confirms that I made a good choice.
You could also have tested RAID performance. One of the reasons I chose the P5E3 Deluxe is that is supports RAID 0, 1, 10 and 5. I''m planning on using RAID 5 with four hard drives. It will improve read/write performance while protecting my data against hard drive failure. |

Nice big article, I know testing motherboards takes a while. They sure go for heatpipes these days.
Tril, unfortunately RAID5 generally leads to bad write performance. But if you want the extra reliability maybe it might be worth going for. |
