SP-DIF Problem?
Hi all!
I have 2 PC's, connected via SP-DIF (both ways).
In one PC I have an Audigy card, running on KX, in the other a Creamware Scope Home.
I play music on the Audigy PC, record (Cubase SX) on the other one.
Since a couple of months, on the Audigy PC, every few minutes, the SP-DIF icon pops up and audio playback is muted, causing the other PC to stop recording.
This is a big problem and makes getting any work done impossible.
I'm pretty confident the problem lies with the Audigy PC.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Hans

Addendum: playback ove the headphones is NOT muted, just the SP-DIF output...

Sounds like a software problem to me. Did you try un-installing all Creative software and drivers and then install the latest versions again?

Well, it's still the same thing. Uninstall them all properly and then re-install them.

Found the problem all on my own Turned out to be a simple master/slave setting in my scope card (blush)

I found out this stops when I switch the Scope to Master, but then........ I get cracks and pops in my audio.

I would say, buy another audigy card for the second PC, install kX and all will be fine - just a suggestion.
