Die erfolgreiche Nutzung des Editors setzt Kenntnisse über Auslesen und Flashen eines Grafik-BIOS voraus. Die entsprechende „.rom“-Datei einer ATi Radeon HD 3850, HD 3870 oder HD 3870 X2 kann mit dem ComputerBase ATi BIOS-Editor geöffnet und bearbeitet werden. Der Editor erlaubt Zugriff auf die sogenannten BootUp Clocks, 2D Clocks, Low Power 3D Clocks, High Power 3D Clocks, und UVD Clocks sowie die zugehörigen VCores.
