WTB - A few things in my list ;)
Hey guys, got a few things I'm looking for. I live in the UK, so for some of you guys, this might mean international shipping :P.. Anyways:
1 - Looking for a small factor pc (a shuttle or something). Dont need top of the range, a Socket A is fine, socket 939 is fine as well. Prefering socket A, due to the fact I'm on a small budget. I dont need a complete system, just the case, psu and the motherboard is fine. I can fill in the 'blanks'
2 - A socket 939 motherboard. I've had some great experience with Asus mobos, but I dont mind in trying new makes.
3 - AMD 64 CPU (socket 939). Nothing too great, a 3500+ is tops :P Wont need anythin more.. Just upgradin for PCi-E purposes xD
Quick thing, options 2 and 3 are for my current PC. Wanting to move over to 64bit (and I suppose PCi-E), whilst the first is so that I can build a silent low-spec'd box, to be a lil 24/7 box to download things
Thats all I can think off. I'll have between £80 to £110 this week (not too sure about the £110, but £80 definetly). All prices must include P+P and any other costs :P Thanks
Eg ~ By what I mean, someone might offer say an AMD 64 3200+ CPU for £40 or wtv.. But my total budget is £80 - £110.. Hope you folk understand this I'll pay via Paypal (I'm a verified paypal user.. if that helps Also have a 20 feedbacks and 100% positive feedback on ebay. Thats all the credibility I can give )

2 - If you like Asus then you may want to try out their sister company, ASRock. They sell a board called 939NF4G-SATA2 which is based on the Nvidia Northbridge 6100, and Southbridge 410 chipsets. It's a small form factor board, and has an onboard Geforce 6200TC video card, but has a PCI-E 16x slot for expanding later on. You can usually find the board for around $80US or lower.

I'm not requiring a small factor motherboard, normal ATX size I've just got a couple of ideas, whether to buy an old small factor barebones box, or just upgrade my pc over to PCi-E .. Hence the whole lil list
Edit ~ Budget might decrease a bit, due to me buyin a router from another member on DH

Trunkzeh, why don't you just use your computer for both downloading and your "current computer"? You could save a lot of money this way.
You can try to build your own "SFF" by buying the Aspire X-Pack cases, which are fairly small. Look them up on NewEgg. It would be much cheaper for you, IMO, to buy one of those, a s939 mATX board (get the Biostar TForce6100-939 for overclocking or a Foxconn 6150K8MA-8EKRSfor average overclocking but mroe features), and a A64 s939 CPU, isntead of buying a SFF and parts for a different system.
That's just my two cents.

Ah.. I misunderstood. Thought you were looking to put together a small formfactor computer.
If that's the case, and money is tight then I would suggest the ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 board which would go for around $65 US. It's a full size board, but it has the ability to use an AGP 8x/4x card or a PCI-E 16x card, or both at the same time. If you have an "alright" AGP card that you can get away with for now, then this board is perfect. When you do get the money you can switch over to a PCI-E card later on. Great thing about this board is that unlike it's Intel counterpart from ASRock there are no card restrictions, nor any speed loss to having or using both graphics ports. Also, while they don't list it right on the front page for the board, it does support AMD 64X2 processors.
EDIT: I did a little searching, and found that Microdirect sells it for around £44.00. HERE is the link for it directly.

Wow.. pretty cheap for a 939 mobo, and it has all the features I want lol.. Dual Channel and HyperTransport w00t! Lovely, I'll be buyin that either this week or next, then I'll just save up for a cheapo AMD 3200+ until I get an 3800+ X2

That would be perfect for me too- what "cheapish" CPU would be good to go along with that?
Oops- it does have IDE I guess.. Will an Opteron work in that?

hmmm.. I heard one of the opterons was a good deal.. can't remember now which one.

Crap that is the wrong one...
This is the right one, correct? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157081

Yes it is the perfect upgrade path for me, as I cannot spend the $$ for a mobo/CPU/AND GFX card at the same time.. At least not yet.
