Notice: Minimum Post Count to use this forum
Due to the increased amount of traders signing up and posting items for sale in this forum, I am now enforcing a minimum post count to create threads.
Members must now have a minimum of 20 posts before they are able to create threads, this should however not effect posting replies.
This minimum post count is to ensure trade accounts are not abusing this forum.
If you have any problems, or find yourself unable to post which you believe is in error, please send me a Private Message to my account.
Thanks for your co-operation on this matter.

NOTE: Due to the way this restriction is being implemented, it may take a couple of days for all accounts to be activated, again feel free to PM me with queries.

19 more to go, then you can start to create threads. Oh, and welcome to the forums, Koko!
Mythical is right. This is great idea, craig. Only thing that this might get in the way of are those users that create accounts so that they can post for help. Although, through some searching they'd be able to post into existing threads related to their problem/s.
Any ideas on a thread for new members to post into? Something that they could jump into if they wanted to start up a topic? Say, one for each forum, and then have that split off into a seperate thread? Or do you think that would turn into a juggling act for you guys in trying to sort out each post?

it's only set in this forum due to the amount of traders registering here for cheap advertising purposes only.
juggling around post as you describe, being staff is already time consuming as it is already.Yes it is a little inconvenient also for members with less than 20 posts.....
And welcome to dh kokopuffs........ it not take long to gain 20 posts (without spamming lol).

Ah.. I'm so tired that I missed that. Any plans to make this a system wide thing? Or rather, to include this in other forums?

It is not that freaking hard to make 20 useful posts.
Figure out what you know that someone else might need help with and search the forums for related topics. If the topics are still active and no conclusion has been found then post your opinion. It will take an hour or so to do this and a couple days for your account to be activated to post in the buy and sell thread.
Simple, huh...If this is to hard then you do not deserve to post your items in these forums.

20 posts is not enough IMO. A determined spammer could do that in one day and not make it look like spam.
It should be more like 50-100 and time served as a member for 6 months. That would give the members more opportunity to know and trust the sellers/buyers.

Okay that makes sense. Now I only need 19 more posts in order to make threads.

20 Posts is fair. I would much rather use a system like this than ebay. Paypal is the biggest rip off. They suspended my account last year with $900 in it for no good reason and there are tons of other horror stories.

It is good to know that there are people willing to run a forum like this that is a nice alternative to online auctions and their outrageaous fees .
