You are being too impatient...wait for a few weeks and XTPE will be available at your local BB or CUSA store (some stores have sold few)...Why would you buy an XTPE for $600 where you can get if for $500 from shop.ati.com when it's available or buy a cheap X800Pro vivo and softmod it to XTPE (kinda risky)...next few months there will be an XTPE w/ 512MB GDDR3 with the same price you offer ( I HOPE )...believe me lots of people have regreted wut they've done when it comes to this not sure what others have to say bout this...

i'm not completely sure but you should be able to find out how much better it is by viewing a few different reviews of each product and compare....
as for trading.... i don't have an X800

Moved to Buying/Selling
To be honest mate I think you would be better off upgrading the rest of your rig if thats what you have in there now.
your 6800gt will be mighty fine for a while.
Not worth getting rid of imo

Dude, just keep your parts and the 6800GT. If anything OC the GT to Ultra spec and use any spare money to upgrade your cpu(if that 1.8 is what you're running). The XT is definitely NOT that much better than your GT, take this from someone that has both at his disposal.
