Buying and selling on DriverHeaven: Common Sense

COMMON SENSE:
Buying and selling on Driverheaven just like anywhere else requires common sense, unfortunately as with most online trading situations you arent able to "hold" the goods in your hand and neither are you able to see if the person you are dealing with is genuine.

A percentage of our membership are regulars, so therefore trust will be a major point in a transaction, but there will be situations when a new member will post selling goods, in this case I strongly suggest you get into communication with the seller outside driverheaven, meaning either you get a phone number, an address you can check or an ebay rating you can look at. You can even use a service such as escrow to give yourself some protection.

Rule of thumb is, if you are unsure then dont buy. I would also like to state due to some individuals coming here with no posts or history on this site ENSURE you take every precaution to avoid being scammed. At the very least talk to the person in email to get a genuine email address for future use, common sense would indicate a user with one post and a yahoo or hotmail address could in fact be a well known scammer and a transaction is not advisable, unless other material is in your possession to ensure you feel comfortable. To follow up on Common Sense, please remember that no drugs, firearms or other illegal/restricted merchandise can be sold on Driverheaven.

SHIPPING:
If you are a seller, then I recommend you use tracked shipping. Yes its a little more expensive, but it means both you and the buyer are protected with the proof of shipping, if the buyer claims a "non arrival", then you have the proof of signature, totally dismissing any claim the buyer might have.

If you are a buyer, then request tracked shipping, it might cost you a little more but at least you will know the goods have been sent and you will have a phone number to the shipping company to trace any lost or delayed goods. protect yourself.

PROTECTION:
So what protection can we offer you buying or selling on Driverheaven?, we cant offer to refund you any money you might possibly lose from a bad transaction. Our normal privacy rules state that no IPs or email addresses are given out but with the situation of a bad seller we can and will help you trace the offender if viable proof is shown to us that the seller you bought from hasnt delivered. We will supply details, such as an email and/or IP address we might have in our position for that user, therefore if you value your privacy DONT rip off fellow users with false, fake or damaged products, ill do everything in my power to ensure my members arent abused. Any offenders will also get a LIFETIME ban from this site, unless the transaction between the offender and buyer/seller is resolved to both parties satisfaction.

In the case of damaged goods, it is preferred the buyer/seller resolve this outside driverheaven but if either party is unhappy with an ongoing transaction drop me an email or private message and I will do my best to intervene as a "middle man" to resolve the situation between parties. Again my advice is to get everything in writing before the purchase so if any problems do arise this information can be shared with myself or any authorities at a later date.
