Reason being I'm building a system for my sister- she has 4 kids and I need to make sure the components I buy for her are going to work, no money to spare for stuff that isn't going to work.. as you can imagine.
Anyway you said it will boot to windows, it is a good sign, but that doesn't mean it is definitely good. If it ran through memtest86 with the advanced tests enabled I would be more comfortable.
Just wondering, if you aren't able to do that, maybe a little more history on it, what the ram was used in before, how long, and when was the last time it was in a working machine...
Thanks

Oh, also I was wondering if there were any stickers on it, and if so if you could post the number/letter combos/ part number.
It might help me find out how compatible they are with the mobo I will be using it in-
~thanks.

Hey, I am interested, I wasn't online for a couple days, but now I'm sure my sister wants me to build her a PC- so this ram will work. If you have a way to test it out more that would be great, if not, a little history on it would probably be enough, as long as you know the stuff works..

Well, I sorta tested it. I didn't run a memtest, but I boot up with it. The RAM isn't very old, maybe a year or so.

Is there any way you could test it out with memtest86 or some other memory tester? Or do you not have a system to do that with?
Also, have you ever seen this ram working in a PC before for any amount of time? Or do you know what kind of motherboard it was in? Thanks.

Can you take the ram in your PC out and put this ram in and run a test on it? Do you have memtest86 or know how to use it?

Thanks allot - That's all I needed to know.
I know it's a pain, but I needed to ask because it's not for me. Will you take any less for it? How does $35 shipped sound?

T.M., I PM'd you 2 days ago but you did not respond..
I still haven't gotten the package. I guess I'm going to have to deliver the PC it was going to go in (my sister's) without it.. She lives 200miles away, I'll have to make a separate 400 mile round trip to go install it when and if the memory gets here.
I figured 16 days would be enough time. I asked in the PM the date you shipped it because I assume it must have gotten lost in the mail.
*Please respond because I need to know what's going on here..

Well WTF-
I updated my bios and I couldn't boot my PC 2 days ago so I haven't' been able to get online until now..
Since you won't respond to my PM AGAIN, I will put it here!
-----------On March 25 you wrote this PM to me:-----------
Oops, Sorry
I think I didn't write your address right on the package, I should be getting it back soon. I will make sure to write it right this time. Sorry for the trouble man.
------- on March Mar 29, 2004 02:08 AM I wrote this to you in a PM:------------
Hi
Have you heard anything about what happened to the ram?
Do you know what address you put on the package?
Do you have a receipt from mailing it?
Hopefully you will hear something soon.
******Ok, I thought I would have heard something from you by now- You don't respond to my PM's which makes me nervous.
Please respond to this post or I will have to assume you just tried to rip me off, which I really hope isn't the case.
This is when you got my money--->

You still have my money and I don't have the ram, so tell me what's going on!
I wouldn't care that it took this long if you at least respond to my PM's or tell me what's going on..
PLEASE RESPOND!!!!

What is the deal man?
Are you going to make me call PayPal and report you? This is not cool, not something I would expect from a DRIVERHEAVEN GOLDMEMEBER. I see you have not posted here at DH since March 23 and the last PM I got from you was on the 25th.... Is it really worth 35 dollars?
That was my sister's money, she has 4 kids all under 10 years old and is not rich by any stretch.. 35 extra dollars for them is a lot. I guess I will pay her back and eat the 35 dollars until I can or IF I can recover from PayPal, which I probably will not be able to do.
I don't understand why you don't just respond to my emails or respond to my PM's or at least respond to me in this forum. I believe I have given you plenty of time to respond.
To protect myself I will probably contact PayPal, but I would still like to hear from you so I don't have to report you.. This is BS man.
I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt, but it looks awful suspicious when you totally ignore me after you already have my money..

I'm going to close this now, I'd like to help out, but DriverHeaven can't really do much about it
Sorry BWX that I can't do more. Hopefully you get in contact with Twisted Metal and get this resolved. I was screwed one time over eBay for a lot more than what this is, and it felt really bad.
Thread Closed.
