Sounds loops when moving forward

Hi

Like i've explaines in general discussion forum (bad one ?)

I get like if sound card buffer loops when i move forward or backwrd in any player. It's also true with any audio format.
I get also this behaviour when playing the THX broadway 2000 after approximately 5 seconds and this each time.

What's wrong please ?

Thanks

Sound is well ac3. because i can hear the beginning of the movie and then .. sometimes 1,2 or more seconds it becomes to loop.

I've tried to uninstall all sound drivers and resinstall kx and now the problem is more frequent.

I don't have anymore to go forward. After a few seconds, the Dolby sounds loops.

Windows 2000 SP3. last release Version: 5, 10, 00, 3528 - debug
Compilé le: Dec 3 2002 00:50:27

Windvd 4 platinum as well as PowerDVD4.

Soud card is SB Live 5.1!

Please help because with your driver i've fixed the crackling noise that was using Creative Labs original driver.

ac-3 playback is very CPU-dependent. that is, if any application performs intensive CPU operations, the audio data might become out-of-sync. this requires special synchronization code, which will be written in the future (I hope )

Cracking noise while decoding DD 5.1

unfortunately, after connecting the PC on the Home cinema sound system via analog jacks. There's still crackling noise on the card whe while decodeing ac3. It comes from rear channels, sometimes front and sometimes center. The amplitude depends also of the movie.

Sometime there are high frequencies sound that are dangerous for the speakers.

I wonder for a while if it's a driver problem or the card is really bad. Maybe there's still PCI bore effects. I don't know. The initial driver bundled with the card had cracking. When i upgrade to the last driver from creative it was awful. With your driver this is attenuated when compared to CLabs initial drivers but still unusable for a domestic use in a HC system.

Any idea about the problem ?
