Feedback sound

Hey all,

I have a audigy 2 with the latestest ver Version: 5, 10, 00, 3537 - debug
I am running Windows XP with all the latest updates except service pack 2

the issue I am having occured with the previos ver 3534.

if I leave my sound unmuted, and am Idle at my pc it starts a feedback sound, like if you leave a open mic near a speaker. I dont know whats happening, If Im useing my pc, like playing a game that uses sound or even move my mouse it stops. I use these drivers cause the drivers I find on Creatives site causes static or poping in my output, these do not however I get the feedback.

anyone else heard of that

I have completely reinstalled windows (not for this issue) and I still have the feedback sound anyone have any ideas???

1. open kx mixer's peak meter and keep it opened while trying to re-produce the bug

2. on the 'recording' page set 'wave recording level' to zero

check if you have a kind of a screen saver or similar application running / starting automatically.
