EEK! volume control problem

Hallo, i`m quite new with kx drivers, the quality of the sound is very good, i`m having small problem dow: you all have on the systray a small icon, the volume control; i have a problem with mine: it`s working, i can controll the volume with it but instead of hearing a nice sound when ajusting the volume, i ony get the beep of the built in speaker of the pc, and it`s so annoyng . Maybe you can give me an advice on how to get a normal sound out of the volume control, pls. My pc has the following specs : Athlon XP 1800+, 512 DDram @3200, Win 2003 Entreprise Edition

You shouldn't use the regular windows volume control with kx drivers, only kx mixer. Disable that icon through control panel / multimedia...

It might be a little confusing at first, but be persistent... you'll get used to the mixer in no time...

So you are saying that if you would decide to use that icon, you would also get only the pc speaker beeps... And your sugestion is that everytime i want to adjust the volume i should right click on the kx icon, open the kx mixer and adjust the volume.. . I dont want to be impolite, but it would take 10 times the time that i need to adjust the volume with the icon of the windows mixer. Or maybe i`m doing something wrong, maybe i`m missing something; please tell me there is a quicker way...
