kX Control Panel volume sliders like to keep resetting themselves

I know there's a known issue with conflicts between kX and the windows Volume Control - if you modify the Windows volume control sliders, then open the kX control panel, the sliders are reset to the kX control panel settings.

What's mystifying me at the moment is that in the Recording page of the kX control panel, if I modify the AC97 recording level, and change it to 100%, the moment I click away from the Recording levels page to another page, then go straight back, the slider is at inf again. Obviously this is a bit of a good bug but I'm not quite sure what to do about it.

I've always had these kind of problems with the sliders sometimes resetting or being reset to previous values if I load both the kX and Windows volume controls... But it's getting kind of tiresome having to constantly go back into the Recording setup, and always have it open when I want to record something

Using driver version 5, 10, 00, 3537 - debug

... if that helps.

Also, I think I know what they're for, but what are the HQ options? SP-DIF and hi-def only? Hmm. (I should really know more about my Audigy 2 shouldn't i )

Cheers in advance to anybody who replies

Unmute it before adjusting (a little circle below the fader)...

I don't believe it.

How did I miss that.

Let this thread be stickied to serve as an indicator of how stupid I look when I miss the blindingly obvious Thank you very much for that pointing out to my useless brain

I know, what I'm ashamed of is that I've read every single piece of documentation - yes, every SINGLE piece - regarding the kX project, the drivers, the DSP, the routing system, everything - the fact that I neglected to check something so trivial when it was smack bang in me face makes me go a little red in the cheeks
