Hi there,
I've just installed the KX drivers (Version: 5, 10, 00, 3537 - debug) onto my Win98SE system which uses a Soundblaster Live 5.1 card. I removed my SBLive drivers as instructed and the installation seemed to go okay.
I've been able to run Reason2.5 using ASIO drivers with better latency than before (v.happy!) but for some reason I can't get FLStudio (4.2) to run at all. I get as far as the splash screen with the big strawberry thing but that's it - the PC just hangs!
I've tried uninstalling FlStudio and re-installing it from scratch but to no avail. It doesn't seem to be an obvious problem with the drivers but maybe the way I've got them set up?
Any ideas folks?

I hate to say, but it's probably a flaw in the FL audio engine concerning Windows 98's handling of WDM audio. Sorry I can't be any more conclusive, the only machine that I use a kX-powered card with is mine, and it's running Windows 2000



Stick Win2K Pro onto your machine, it'll run on just about any spec box and most probably solve the problem. (sorry, I have to promote my OS of choice )

Don't worry boss! I uninstalled Kx drivers, reinstalled and it's fine now. Can't say I've looked back since!

Argh, you've cursed me - now my copy of FL Studio's refusing to load Right! off to reinstall FLStudio (can I be arsed to reinstall the kX drivers? naaaaah no chance )
