Recording Settings - No Difference

I have changed the Recording settings, re-installed the kX driver and everything and still when I try to record, all I ever get is 'What you hear' or 'Stereo Mix'...

All I want is for my mic to work. *frustration*...

I even pulled out my soundcard to make sure it wasn't a hardware fault like the pins had become 'oxidised' or some rubbish.

Anyone got any ideas to help me? It just started like this, it was working fine before.

CT4670 - 10k1 [d000]

Sound Blaster Live! Value

The mic is perfectly working and so is the card because it works fine with the old SoundBlaster Driver... however, since I love kX, I'd hate to have to get rid of it.

Nevermind, I just realised that my settings somehow got reset in the first place and... ARGH... why is this thing to hard to use?

My fault, nice piece of kit this.

the products with the most features generally have a higher learning curve, but once you learn it, you never go back

For anyone that comes on with same problem:

Go to 'Recording' settings, the one with the round red dot (3rd one down), and drag the sliders for Wave and Synth Recording levels down to 'inf' or 0%...

Then drag up the slider for AC97 up to whatever setting you want. Switch to the AC97 settings thing and set the recording input on the one you want, eg: 'Mic'

Voila... I found this out first time when I installed it originally but then I messed about with the DSP and had to reset it and ofcourse I forgot to handle the recording settings and thought it was an error.
