As far as I know there's no guaranteed solution, but you can try changing the pci latency settings and see if it works.

Re: NF2 platforms and SBLIVE KX-driver

Today, I set PCI LATENCY to 96, but still appear BEEPING. My motherboard is the NF7-S, BIOS is up-to-date. APIC MODE to be changed from 1.4 to 1.1, I wonder if there is no use?

I really don't know... Maybe someone else can comment on that.

What I can say is that when I had my nf2 board, I remember one thing I did was installing xp in standard pc mode (no apic, 16 irq's only) and it worked pretty well.

Re: NF2 platforms and SBLIVE KX-driver

Is there no debug log or something to track down the bug? That beeping is not always audible. Sometime frequencies are that low or high that its barely noticeable. Its like the processing unit freezes. Isn't it possible to let some helper tools running that can analyze specific system states?

I once had to switch back from SATA to IDE on NF7-S. The NF7-S PCI bus somewhat got distorted by its own SATA controller (SiI3112a). If you take an analog capture card and let it run in preview mode at a high resolution (720x576x25fps) so it pushes much data on the PCI bus and you access the on-board SATA controller that is also connected to the PCI bus you can actually "see" the data on the capture cards preview windows or at least some distortion lines that are produced by the SATA controller.

Currently, i use SATA as non-primary storage HDD again. Maybe the PCI bug affects soundcards as well but i don't have any problems with creative stock drivers.
