With the 3539 driver under Vista, the 10 band EQ is totally useless. Nothing in the EQ will affect the sound.

Acoustic loud clap only during return from a suspend (S3) or hibernate mode. At usual power on, a clap is not present.

so the question is, how can i download 3539 without using insecure abobe flash plugins together with english download descriptions ? what is if some nice guy @ ifloder.ru infects your uploaded .exe with a malicious program ? then he has the control over some 1000 pcs.
please upload it to a filehoster with the possibilty to read the download descriptions in english and post a md5 checksum for the file here in the forum. i think as a programmer u know what im talking about. |

Why don't you do this yourself? Why should Eugene do this? [/color] |

Not a bug. Your card is SB0244. See kX Project -- FAQ (Frequently asked questions) |

Vista 32bit - All I get is that digital noise, tried reinitializing the card (unload kxmixer, disable, enable the cardm, run kxmixer)...tried also running kxmixer with "-rv" added...nothing....(what's that "kxctrl"?)
Any ideas? :S Audigy plat eX here, running on an ASUS crosshair with AMD64x2 6000+ / 4gbRAM |

kxctrl (kxctrl.exe) is found in the kX Installed folder... OR, more simply right click on kX tray icon and choose 'kX Console' - is a dos like console screen, where those commands are used (IIRC -rv is one). Enter '?' in kX console - and you'll see the '-rv' will 'reset hardware voices'.
kxctrl.exe allows you to make a batch file (containing 'kxctrl.exe -rv") and put in your start/startup folder - to execute commands at boot up... of course, not all commands make sense to run at boot up... so a re-initialize may not be needed every boot up... but, its possible. You could also make the batch file and save to your desk top for simple access (if needed often). edit/ I dont know much about vista, I *assume* batch files and start/startup still exist as they do in Win98,XP,2000... /edit |

@Eugene, Some of the posts in the forum seem to indicate that the default device after kX installation on Vista, is kX Wave 8/9 (labeled as Wave Out 8/9 in Vista) instead of kX Wave 0/1 (labeled as Master Mixer in Vista). Last edited by Russ; Nov 18, 2007 at 04:59 PM. |

Thanks MAddog!
(EDIT) MIDI synths A/B DOES sounds fine....but audio playback doesn't. Worth to mention, I'm going out to PA from my headphones out. Also worth to mention that I couldn't install the GamePort...3539 or vista couldn't install the drivers somehow, so I finally disabled it in the dev manager. Ok, I've tried: 1) With rv 2) Changing buffer values 3) Changing PCI lateny to several different values. 4) Disabling GamePort in dev manager. 5) Playing a wav file like crazy, playing a dense MIDI file too... 6) unloading kXmixer - disabling/enabling the driver in dev manager - reloading kXmixer. Nothing.....my audigy still makes that constant sound, I've read the thread about this but cannot find anything that solves the problem. Never ever had this problem in winXP in ...four years? ...since very early versions, is only on Vista...and I had the chance to try this in two completely different systems, always having this noise issue. Everything seems to work like a charm, the kxmixer etc... but, all I get is noise. Is funny, if I turn up the Reverb under kxmixer FX tab, I get the noise processed by it...with the corresponding reverb tail (very clean, obviously not part of the noise)....same for chorus. so the issue seems to underlie inbetween the driver, somewhere, not specifically related to PCI bus or IRQ issue...the card works like a charm as I said, no problems aside of that. ...seems like I'm stuck huh? Here are full system specs: ASUS CrossHair nForce 590 SLI - Latest nVidia drivers AMD64x2 6000+ geForce 7600GS - latest nVidia drivers 4 SATA II - WD Hard Drives Audigy platinum eX (10k2 - early model)...worked very solid in XP Windows Vista kX drivers 3539 full Last edited by SPYRO; Nov 18, 2007 at 07:42 PM. |

hehe! nah! I'd rather use the inbuilt sound card in my CrossHair instead, until eugene solves this, he always do.
EDIT: I'm using Creative drivers....they are crap :S but they works, no noise as kx 3539, I guess that demonstrates the noise issue (hopefully) is not a big "impossible to solve" bug. Last edited by SPYRO; Nov 19, 2007 at 05:12 PM. |

When recording 24/48 in WAVE HQ
When recording 24/48 with WAVE HQ device, results in sounds at half-speed. Saving file shows size to be the same as 24/96 at correct speed.

Do u notice the difference between what u did and what Mata Hari and I tried to do? You are decoding AC3 through an external AC3 decoder/receiver. What we are trying to do here is to have the KX driver itself decode/playback the AC3 stream ie. no external receiver/decoder involved. Thanks 4 attempting to help anyway.

KX Synth volume gets set to 100% whenever a kX Synth MIDI port is opened for playback (i.e. midiOutOpen).
