no "real" 5.1
Hi
I'm using the 3538m drivers with windows vista x86. The surround mixer and practically all the stuff Ive tested works well ![]() My only problem is that I can't set the speakers to 5.1 in windows. I get an error saying "Format not supported by device". So with the help of surround mixer I can upmix stereo things to 5.1, but DVD-s and other things (games, etc) which would have "real" 5.1 can only play in stereo. So basically I get 2 channels upmixed to 5.1 but can't listen to 5.1 stuff. Has anyone else encountered this before? And if yes, what did you do to solve it? |

KX isn't fully compatible with Windows Vista, yet. Eugene is gonna try to have full Vista support with kX driver version .3539. The most recent (beta) version of kX is .3538m.
See this thread for some relavent Windows Vista disscussion: kX Project Status (Jan'2007)
