having issues with microphone

I posted in another thread , but i think it was the wrong thread so im posting this issue in bug reports. Sorry.

I have an issue where my mic is not working at all. Do i have to do something special after installation to make it work? What should i try to do? I just load up a program like audacity or teamspeak or try to uncheck line in or what have you inside the kx mixer to see if i can hear myself, but everything fails to pick up the mic.

running creative audigy 2 zs, sb0350, under win xp pro sp2, using latest kx drivers.

Any suggestions?
