3538J: MIDI Errors in bulk

I cannot send a sysex dump back to my Yamaha MU100R or Korg 05RW without errors (checksum errors).... Is this a KX related problem? I tried MidiOx, Cubase and Cakewalk to recieve and transmit but all with the same result. I also tried several ports on an audigy2 and live. Also driver versions i/j and the stable release. All without any success.

Pls help!

An update: It looks like it definitly is the KX driver. I uninstalled the driver completely and installed the new Creative audigy driver package. What a mess this is. But I managed to install it and use it for 'normal purposes', like playing music. Then I retried to upload sysex bulk data with success. No more errors! It made my system unusable for all other purposes (like making music :-) but for the sake of the test it was okay. I now re-installed the KX driver and hope for a bugfix. It maybe that there is still an error in the IRQ handling code? Or maybe a buffer (round-robin) problem. Something of that kind. The weird thing is that during normal use of MIDI it all seems okay. Only sysex bulk dumps.....

Regard,
Shinco

pls download debugging monitor (search the forum for the link) and watch if the driver prints anything midi-related (probably smth like 'midi sysex buffer overflow')

I haven't tested sysex management code with large blocks of data

pls reply via e-mail (kxproject.com/contact.php)
