Hi!
I was listening to some music in the background from my home-made streaming audio server while reverse-engineering a project file to Cubase SX. That involved opening an empty project to check things and closing again a few times.
Then on one close the monitor goes "ka-click!" and the screen goes dark blue and I was feeling a little helpless... (BSODs are never cozy!)
What do I see? That kX.dll was the module where this happened! This is not something I experience very often, but perhaps it is something worth a closer look? I have made a backup of my 450MB memory.dmp file and dumpchk.exe says what is pasted below.
(According to pstat.exe, the module name whose address is just lower than the ExceptionAddress is ntoskrnl.exe, not kX.dll as the BSOD itself said.)
I will not follow this error other than check for answers here in this forum. If I get no answer, I guess this is of little importance, and this happens just rarely. But there is a bug somewhere!
The exception code translates to: "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"
