3530

3530 dont work at all for me in Cubase.Installed them twice after having cleaned out everything prom previous installations. with the same result. Then went back to 3529 and it worked at once again.

The incoming signal when recording shows in the cubase mixer....but...no sound.I usually record guitar through the line feed of ac 97 which i mute in the ac 97 window and then enable monitor in Cubase which then passes the sigal through cubase from where i hear it.

This has worked in all previous versions.Dos it have to do with the "surround" thing you have added in the dsp?

hi!

i have some problems with new driver 5.10.0.3530 too.

- after installing the new driver, all seems to be fine

but:
a-sometimes the volumes from "ins n outs" windows and fx windows disappear .
b- the new brushed skin dont want to install.
c- after i start to work with logic audio, if i open the kx mixer, receive a error message about asio overload!

with best regards

Cubase SX + windows xp + kx 3530 have been working for me just fine. Try re-installing... The new brushed skin is actually "old". I've not seen a version for 3530 yet.

Well i have tried it several times today and monitoring through cubase does not work.

Meaning i cant record while hearing effects in cubase in realtime.

Switched back to 3529 and it worked at once as usual.

I installed the 3530 and Emagic Logic and here the real time monitoring works...

Have you looked at this?

>Switched back to 3529 and it worked at once as usual. - be sure you set "swap f/r" correctly... since ver.30 "asio 0/1" plays only to "front" (this is default "surrounder" setting), while in 29 it plays to both front and rear...

Max....I have tried it again and you were right. When swapping the speakers i did get sound and it records but.......

I get both clean signal and the signal routed through cubase at the same time.

I find no way of turning the original signal off.

Meaning im monitoring two signals.Line in before cubase and signal after cubase at the same time.

In all the previous versions all i needed to do was open the ac 97 fader in the " in out window" (green icon) and choose line as source in the ac 97 window.I left the line fader muted in the ac 97 window.

When doing this and enabling a channel in cubase i got the signal with cubase effects and nothing else.

So there is some change in 3530 that makes them different .I have tried a lot of things to mute the "clean signal" (signal before it goes into cubase) with no luck.

I also tried removing the surround module in the dsp and repatching it like it was in 3529.

Hope you understand what i mean:If not i can describe it by using images of the kx mixer.

as i remember you should break connection between epilog and routing (this is how "dry" signal is monitored...), fix me

Tried this too but it did not solve the problem.Back with 3529 ;-)
Maybe it has to do with the fact that i have one of the 5.1 cards that are not configured as the standard. One of the cards where you must route line signal to Asio 4 and 5 instead of Asio 0 and 1.
