driver version 5.10.0.3530 bugs!
Installing this one over build 3528 i get very strong problems.
First at all, complete hand after the installation (afer the reboot an dupdate...) end was happen.
So, this is not good.
But worser things come. I cant manage to get ANY sound out of it!
No wonder, the WAVE/PCM volume slider get ALWAYS DOWN to zero, even when i set it up, it always and repeatedly go down and down and down...
And y soundcard remain SILENT.
Im deperately trying to get something else sound the the test sounds, untill they also come off...
So, silence.
Solution? Yes, like a master volume, the chorus working now! I dont want it, but when i disable the 3DSE, it dont seems to affect the sound too much, so...
Things get better, when i disabled the accidentialy clicked "Swap front and Read mode" thing...
But i still cant pust the damn volume up!
Aditionaly, it dont seems to have ANY impact, when WinAMP playing... so...
Worser thing is, that i still cant manage the DTS playback from DVDplay, so, the driver jsut wont working properly
Therefore i would like to ask, if there is planed something to DO with this, or not.
Since, IIRC, version 3530 was supposed to play DTS sound trought DirectShow apps too (M$ DVDplay using the WinDVD filters) and it does not work...

...ah!
And aditionaly, i alsmost forget, but, during the test mode - its the sound supposed to do the annoing click each time?!
Its very ugly...
Should not be possible enable the channel with minumum volume, to avoiding this, and then increase it, before play the sample?
W/O the click it will be damn cool

Thx for this idea, but i dont have running it even before.
But, okay, i did it, but it behaves the exactly same way. At start, the swap front/back is selected and WAVE/PCM volume ge always reseted to zero
I tried to RESED the DAMN settings, but i seems to be out of luck, since the function into kxMixer told me, even if i set some of the perameters into it, that:
Error: Control Panel parameters not sed.
It is recommended that you re-run 'Reset settings'
when you set Control Panel parameters
(see readme.html for details)
HELP!!!! How to reset the GOD DAMN settings then!!!! HELP!!!!

Ah, firt time i set the settings and do reset, nothing happens (probably i did not modify enought stuff...), bu next time it happens and now i get rid of the noise - fine, it seems come from enabling AC97 trought line-in, well...
But the WAVE/PCM volume slide are still down
And DTS sound still did not work...
Time to back to default soundblaster drivers, seems

...solution...
So, i instaled orginal SoundBlaster drivers and DVD DTS playback still did not work. Its because i must reinstall WinDVD as well, to get the filters registred with the new SoundBlaster orginal drivers.
Bottom line. Since i started with kxdrivers version 5.10.0.3528 and just reinstalled v30 then, W/O reinstalling the WinDVD, it maybe answer the DTS problem... So, maybe the drivers is not THAT faulty, but, still...
...i dont going anymore to use drivers, witch dont even damn remember my settings - i have every boot set into kxmixer that i DONT WANT flip the front/back outputs, to hear something... W/O the damn chorus effect...
...anyway, for proper DVD DTS playback checking, please use DVDplay, a MS util that anyone can run from Start / Run menu... Anyone... but not me anymore.

I had never heard of "DVDplay" so I gave it at try. It seemed like there was no volume but when I put my ear to the speaker there was very faint audio.
I opened the DSP and cleared it. Added the Fx, epilog and APS compressor plugins.
I took outputs 1&2 (wave) from the fx plugin, linked it to APS and the out put of that to 1&2 (front speakers) of epilog. I then tweaked the output gain of the ASP plugin to +30db and presto there was the audio.
I can't find any DTS output from DVDplay so I assume there is no AC3 output from DVDplay - just wave output.

Hi!
You have probably not read the installation instructions!
Do the following:
Open Control Panel, Choose Sound and Multimedia.
Go to the Audio tab.
On Sound Playback click Advanced.
On the Speakers tab, make sure "5.1 Surround Sound Speakers" or "Surround Sound" is selected on Speaker Setup dropdown list.
Choose the Performance tab and make sure Hardware accelleration is set to Full and Sample rate conversion quality is set to Best.
Click OK.
On Sound Recording click Advanced.
Make sure Hardware accelleration is set to full and Sample rate conversion quality is set to Best.
Now right click on the kX system tray icon and choose Settings -> Reset Settings.
This must be done every time you (re)install the driver(s).
