no sound in the middle in games

when i play morrowind and oblivion i notice there are no sound in the middle.
for example: a person talks to you, if you stand right in front of the person you dont hear anything but if you turn to left or right you hear the person in left or right speaker depending on which side you turn but nothing in the middle. i use a soundblaster live 5.1 soundcard and kxdrv3537-full drivers. i use the default settings on everything.

I've also noticed this in Oblivion. I'm running 3538j on a SB Live! Value. I haven't given this much thought though, as I don't really care if the sound in games is glitchy as long as kX works superbly when I'm making music

I had noticed that as well, and did some testing a while back using the RightMark 3DSound Positioning Accuracy test, and indeed there was no sound when the source was dead front center. It has been a while but, iirc, turning on kX's 8 point surround fixes it ("shw 20 1" in kX console).
