Well your CPU score is a lot better than mine, but all your GFX tests are slower.. That card should be faster than my 7800GTX, even though it is factory 470mhz core OC.. Look at the speeds that 7900GT is running. it is basically a faster 7800GTX. same pipes and everything.

Actually- how fast does it run? it doesn't show up in the test.

Oh ok, so it is actually not "that" much faster.. Some of those 7900GT's are clocked quite a bit higher. Still I would think it would be faster my system in the GFX tests.. The mem is running a lot faster, and the core is running about the same (I think I had mine clocked at 480 for that run- 3dmark doesn't detect it properly)
I bet if you tweaked the settings for all complete performance it would go faster. Also I bet that card will OC like crazy. I can't wait to get my 7900GTX (trade up program)...

Yeah, even as it is, it's plenty fast- especially for a tiny little system, LOL....

They do run really cool. My 7900GT with a VF700Cu on it, fan @ 5V, and the card OC'd to 660/800, it still runs under 60°C.

Yeah that's why I cannot wait to get the 7900GTX.. it will be faster and also run much cooler.
Strange when you OC it didn't raise your score- especially since that is a relatively large OC.

I have a very well ventilated case-- AMD xp 3700+ 2.2ghz default running at 2.8ghz at around 28c idle - no more than 41c load.. with default HSF.. No cool-n-quiet or anything .
The 7800GTX is running at at 45 idle and about 66 to 72C load.. that is with fans blowing cold air on it and fans sucking air out of case.. they get faster the hotter the card gets... with a thermal probe controlling the fans. It runs hot as hell. That's another reason why the 7900's are so much better.
I have never had anything run that hot in any PC I have ever owned or worked on, or seen. Maybe well within specs, but that's freaking hot.

Just joined this site today after building a new system based on X2 4400, OCZ® Gold Series Gamer Extreme 2GB DDR PC4000 500Mhz, A8R32-MVP deluxe, Powercolor X1900XTX.
Got a 3d mark06 score of 5621. No overclocking of any sort yet. Does this sound decent for my rig?

Actually, that sounds RIGHT ON the money for average results...
if you crank up the overdrive a bit... (say 680/790).. you should be able to hit a solid value of roughly 6000 no problem.

Just set up brand new comp. Got a 6405 on 3DMark06. Looks like I'm doing OK compared to the other scores I've seen. Maybe next time I'll AI Boost the CPU and see what happens. CPU test was most painful to watch at 1 FPS
AMD X2 4800+, not OC'd
7900GTX - Ztweaked 91.28 drivers
Asus A8N-E
1GB Crucial RAM

Just OC'd CPU using AiBooster at 108%. Went from 6405 to 6484. Actually saw 2 FPS a couple of times. That is brutal . CPU temp went from 37 to 46 on that run. I think this is gtg for now.
