Someone with a good deal of benching exp. answer....

a question please.2 rigs,2 benchmarks.3DMARK05 and Aquamark. My SLi rig benchmarks 3DMARK05 at 11,000 points. My Shark rig{see specs below,1 card}benches 3DMARK05 at 6200 points.OK,that seems reasonable.Aquamark benches my SLi rig at 81,000 points and my Shark rig at 76,000 points.Seems like the duel card rig would be double the score also on Aqurmark also.Whats up????????????

aqua mark is a system bencmark. it will test your video card yes, but it is more CPU/RAM dependant than GPU dependant

because sli has 2 gpu's doenst mean it's gonna double the effects of 1 gpu. there is a certain efficiency i think its like 70-80something% increase over single videocard(correct me if im wrong)
also ur fx55 is a lil better than ur fx53 in ur sli rig. i would switch out(both 939 right?)cpu's to get my sli rig really pumpin. but that's just me.

And SLI doesn't automagically fully utilize both GPUs for every 3d application. . .a driver/design limitation (that Crossfire won't suffer from).

Well crossfire is not really here yet, and neither is their new card.
