Weird annomoly with 3DMark2k1 and overclocking

Ok, the deal is I'm pushing my 9500np to 430+ mhz on the core. Well, 3DMark2k3 works absolutely fine when I push the mhz up to 440. But 2k1 doesn't show any increase in score when I push the card over 400mhz....... I can keep getting score increases in 3dmark2k3 but 2k1 gives me decreases at the same speeds......... What gives? I mean, it doesn't lock up in either benchmark. Truthfully, the further I push the card in 2k1 the worse my score gets. And on the contrary, the harder I push 3DMark2k3 the higher my score goes..... WTF is up? Anyone have a clue? I'm using the Omega 3.7s although I doubt that matters.

You're?

But that still doesn't make sense dude, it's not like I'm runnig at like 300mhz..... 2363mhz..... I can't be CPU limited... That makes no sense as to why my card scores better when clocked lower.......

how much lower? 100-200 points, or 700-800 points?

Now I have a hard time hitting 18k, when I do bench it goes betwee 177xx and 18k..... But I can't get back over 18k, and the card before the vmod did 18069...

Well, the card scored 181xx somethign a while ago at 400/310...... I didn't save it though cuz I thought I could go higher, but I never have gotten 181xx again..... But with 2003 my score consistently goes up as the clock speeds go up....

that seems within the margin of error. Maybe someone else would know more.

So it's perfectly normal that when I overclock my card my 2k1 score DECEASES and my 2k3 score inscreases? I don't think so.

well, for one, i think that has something to do with heat issues.....

Heat? I have an AMD stock heatsink on the card, the air blowing out isn't that warm, hell, my slk800 is way hotter than the heat sink on the vid card. But I can run it over and over at 400+ mhz on 2k3 and get no lockups. And I can also run it over and over on 2k1 with no lockup. But the scores just don't go up proportionately on 2k1...... WERID.
