GF 4 Ti4200 X8 Benchmark Socre

System

1.7GHz @1.95Ghz
512 DDR Ram (Crucial ECC)
40GB Seagate Hard Drive
GF4 Ti4200 AGPX8 (290/549)
44.03 Drivers

My board only supports 4x so i let that default. When i run 3D Benchmark 01 SE Build 330 i get a score of 8634.

Surley i should be hitting the 10K Mark?

Is it the drivers im using or over clocking too much?

ANy Help Would be Appreciated

more like the 12,000 k mark

need the lastest drivers, bios updates, for all you cards
from a previos post of mine..................

go into your display settings right click your desktop.... propertys .. then settings tab... then advanced.. click the gefore 4 ti 4200 tab ... look for perfomance and click it ... make ue the silders are set to perfomance ... then click direct 3d settings ... mipmap detail level set it to performance... set pci texture memory size 128 mb ...

next go into your bios and make sure agp 4/8x has been enabled ... make sure pci delayed transaction is off (gives a nice boost) ... agp apiture size should be set at 128mb

in windows open my computer.... right click your hard drive goto properties... uncheck allow indexing service to index this disk

goto start .. run ... msconfig then click startup tab ... shows all the programs loading on start ... disable anything that is not nessary in that tab only

open cacheman goto show wizzard choose all ... just keep clicking next / finished untill it's done... click tweaks ... set io page lock to 128 mb.. then goto file and save settings....

goto the directry C:\windows\prefetch\ and then delete everything in there...

if you dont use msn messanger uninstall it
to do so go to start ... then run and type or cut and paste

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

then hit enter

run your disk defragmenter to help speed up you hdd

reboot ... the run your benchmarks

if you have any more info for me would be nice... I try my best for what little ya gave me.. hope that gives you a boost ... post some scores if it does ...

with all your tweaks applied apart from bios updating for my graphics card because i can't find any bios for my card, i get a better score now its 9909 nearly the 10k mark with 41.09 drivers, any more suggestions

neon, i do not know whether you belive it or not, i saw a person scoring 15.0k with a GF ti4200.........
so, basicly, you mean i need a better vdeo card, right?? if you were to choose what will be your choice, 9800 pro or 5900 ultra??

Well i decided to buy a new board (Abit IC7), a new P4 2.52 (533B), i sold my old rig to my bro so i had to take out one of my 256 Memory and give him that (Getting a Gig of 3700 Memory, only £110 well it is fom where i can get it

), so im running on what is said in my rig with my new high score!

How would i o/c my memory its

256DDR Crucial Memory 2100

also how do i get to break the 13K Mark, using 43.51 Det Drivers!

you can always clock your memory frequency to break the 13.0k marks. and the GF4 memory core too!!!!!!!!!!!!!
