What Do You Want for 3DMark 2007?

I know we can't have much impact on what's already planned by FutureMark for any impending release of a new and updated benchmark.

But, for me, I'm kind of tired of the Battle for Proxycon visuals. It seems to me the are just rehashing and updating features on something that's already 'in the can'. Where are the flight sims, racing sims, and other such tests for those who are into these types of games?

I say it's high time for a completely new and revamped benchmark from FutureMark to reflect the current state of popular games.

I mean, even back in 3DMark 2001, I like the Bank Vault sequence with the guns ablazing.

Anyone else in my corner?

System Specs

Yes, we need entirely new visuals. I too am bored of proxycon. I have been using 3DM05 mostly, then when i upgraded my system i finaly tried 06 and liked Deep Freeze. After the industrial base and sunny caverns of 05, the cool palette of the snowy site in 06 was refreshing.

I tried 03 for the fun of it and also liked the dog fights in the blue skies. Now you got me curious about 01...

Maybe a large busy city with huge view distances or an olympic size sporting event with large crowds or like you said, some flight sim over rich terrains or even handgliding ala farcry.

an interactive screensaver to be included of one of the "prettier" benchmarks in the bundle.

System Specs

Reasonable benchmarks that can run on any hardware but take advantage of the features in newer hardware without disabling the benchmarks on older ones.
