Re: "CPU" Score in 3DMark 2005

HI

Have noticed that my CPU scores are always really off the mark.

The overall scores seem in the same ball park but the CPU always seems way off.

Are there components or BIOS settings that relate to this score?

Example:

score from default settings

Overall: 6355
CPU: 4247

Other scores and reviews that I have researched with similar specs are always in the upper 5,000's for the CPU scores.

Any information about what influences this score would be great.

Thanks

yeah could be lots of things ...

In bios check under memory > make sure 1T is ENabled (2T disabled, same thing) < may not work with your board though. 1T with 2 gig is kinda demanding.
Disable 'Cool n' Quiet' in Bios
Check your clockspeed in windows > Config > System

What influences your cpu score is clockspeed and memory bandwith (speed of memory and timings of memory)
So you want the highest clockspeed, highest memory speed, and lowest memory timings

Still if everything is at stock i dont see why your cpu score would be THAT low, so i would start with disabling cool n' quiet in bios. It borks up scores sometimes
