Audigy annoying pops

I am looking to upgrade my sound card for the new system I'll be building. I now have an Augigy Gamer and whenever I shut off the computer, there is a loud pop. My friend has a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz card that he let me install in my computer and there is no pops at all with that card. So, do the new Audigy 2 series still have that loud pop when shutting down your computer?

If it does, how about the new Turtle Beach cards?

try disabling the line in.. or wuz it line out volume on your audigy control panel..

I purchased the Turtle Beach Montego DLL and it works fine without loud pops at shutdown.

I called Creative and they suggested either I turn off the speakers or buy their $150 dollar remote control thing
