Just ordered - Audigy ZS 2 & z-5500

I just ordered the audigy zs 2 OEM and logitech z-5500 speakers. I was just wonderin if the oem n retail are the same thing and how about the gamers? I mean like is the soundcard the same? but just has games? Also for the sub do I really have to put it like 2feet away from the desktop? Would it matter if its near my backup battery? And also for the soundcard i was thinking of using the beta 2.08 but after i install that can/do i need the eax 4.0 adv HD driver update? Thanks.

The cards themselves are the same. OEM just comes with no software bundle, box, cables etc.

does anyone know if the z-5500 speakers have speaker wires or rca plugs? And if speaker wire what gauge are they? thanks.
