x-fi - the audigy 4 is based on the same chips as the audigy and audigy 2, while the x-fi is an entirely new chip - better off for the future

I need to do more reading on this but comments always help
in regard to decideing. I was thinking the same thing newer card should be better but not always as I'm all ears ATM I noticed like the EAX 5 support on the music edition I saw some comments regarding a few users with problems in some games. To be honest I didn't really look at the X-Fi untill like yesterday and started going hmmm..... in regard to the cchip figued as much for the price drop what is it just a pre moded audigy 2.

I just upgraded to the XtremeMusic from an Audigy 2ZS and I have to say it was well worth it. Dont notice any fps difference but the sound is definitely better. Headphones especially sound amazing, I could never go back to the A2

x-fi without a doubt. There is a reason hardly any audigy 4s sold, because its so close to the audigy 2.

X-Fi is fine but please, be carefull with the X-Fi Digital I/O issues !!!
Dear friends,
Sorry for interrupting the dialog, but have you ever heard the news that ... the X-Fi had several issues ? I just recently bought the X-Fi Plat. I also still use the Creative Inspire 5700 digital speakers. They're a soul-mate for an ultimate digital i/o problem. Check at this links http://forums.creative.com/creativel...cending&page=4 http://forums.creative.com/creativel...ssage.id=35493 The temporary solution for these creative digital speakers problem (dtt3500 only, but not Insp 5700) is a hardware mod... at... http://personal.auna.com/aquiles/dtt3500mod.rar Ok, that's all friends. Hope you don't mind with my thread. Cause I'm a newbie. Best Regards, asfotn //hasta siempre !!!// |

thanks for the information there, with consumer level speakers like the CL ones, imo you'd be better off using the analogue connections, as the DACs on the card are probably better than the DACs in the speakers
