BF2 sound problem with soundblaster 5.1

Hi guys !

I just bought BF2 and everything is fine but sound ... i got a soundblaster 5.1 with latest creative driver ( feb 03 ! ) and everytimes someone is speaking i hear them as they were in their shower ! whane that happen the frame rate drop substantially too.
I've tried many things including cleaning ( with driver cleaner ) and reinstall the driver and tried to lower sound quality and disable AEX with no result . Any input ? Is KX driver good for games ?

thx

edit : i just tried the onboard audio ( Realtek ALC 650 ) and so far it is good but my fps dropped a bit as the cpu is involved to create sound ...
