I do believe i did everything correct for the mod. Should i be able to use the ultra high audio in BF2 with this mod? It is still covered in red and wont let me select it. I tried to manually change it in the audio.con folder and put it to ultra high. But the sound sounded dim and echoey.

Sorry people, I havent been to this forum for a while :P Yeah, device manager shouldt say "audigy 4". if you install audigy4 youp 1.02 driver it will say audigy x bla bla bla which means it installed correctly. If you use just the Audigy software, the card will use the default drivers. ONLY hacked YouP drivers actually softmod your audigy into "4". Sorry about the links, if someone gets broken links to work please PM me so i can update the thread. Moderators, a sticky would be nice for this thread or is it too much to ask ? :P

Hey is that ISO the Original non-modified Audigy 4 ISO??

May i know why after the installation of the ISO file, i didn't see the Surround Mixer and Speaker setting folder? Also, after installing the ISO file, there will be a pop out of product registration and it mention "No Registered Product found"?
My steps: 1.) Use registry cleaner to clear off all the creative related stuff 2.) Install YouP install file then reboot. 3.) Install ISO file then reboot. After that, it took quite a long time at window screen as if there are something running at the background. Then, i manage to get the sound working (When i double click on the volume tray icon, i saw the audigy4 appears). When i try to replace the spkset and surmix exe files to the directory, i can't find the folder of Speaker Setting & Surround Mixer... Sifus here, please help me... thanks. |

Hello!
First some info : I have Audigy 2 card and have read some threads about modded drivers etc - in result i have total mess in my mind I hope that some more experienced users willl help me with chosing best combination of drivers fo my card. I am planning to do exactly as classic_leon described in first post, but i have some questions first. Considering i am a gamer type user i'd like to know: 1) How mentioned combination (YouP PAX A4 1.00+Audigy 4 Software) works with EAX games ? 2) Is it worth to replace YouP PAX driver with some native Audigy driver (for example some beta drivers i/ve read about on this forum)? 3) How to benefit from OpenAL - is it supported by above drivers and shuld i enable it somehow to use it ingame? 4) And the last one (giving me total mess - how logically (and practically) connect those New Year packs with solution given in this thread - could they be somehow mixed (and maybe should?) with this drivers?Thanks in advance - if there are some answers for this already , sorry , i reallly tried to find it but i am kind short of time so i just did my best

hi can anyone help?
i have a super long load after i install these drivers with win2k. it just hangs at the startup. curser moves but it just won't log into windows. |

Hey guys,
Everything works great except for the windows sound control panel. If I double click on the creative icon I get this error msg. "Volume control: The operation was unsucessful. Please try again or resintall the application." If I right click, I can go into ALL of the EAX, THX and other options except the Speaker Settings and Surround Mixer. Any ideas? |

Update:
If I keep the orginial Surmixer.exe the volume control panel works a while and the give me this error: "Surround Mixer: Unable to load needed components" The patched version simply doesn't work

Update 2:
Using the patched version of Spkset.exe and Surmixer.exe I can open them up by browsing to the exe via explorer BUT from the desktop taskbar icon on the bottom right it doesn't work. It's not a major issue now that everything else is setup I was still wondering someone has found a work around??? |

Hi,
okay, SB Audigy 2, and very big problems here, please help: i have installed the pax 1.02 drivers as in this topic. I have then mounted the software disk iso image (YPOAUXP.ISO), and tried to install the software, but it keeps saying that it cannot find any supported products. Okay, I have then decided to uninstall the PAX drivers, and reinstall the original drivers, but now, from my original SB Audigy 2 drivers disc, it also keeps telling me that it cannot find any supported products. So, the situation is: I can install whichever driver I want, but I cannot install any soundblaster software like surround mixer and stuff, since both install discs keep telling me they can't find any supported hardware. So, I'm stuck here, what can I do? cu, Jackie |

Zero07 If you cant use your remote, make sure the Entertainment Center is loaded. And make sure that the application for the remote is turned on. Also, make sure you select your model of the remote in the list of all creative remotes.
Jackie78 I don't really know, I'd suggest to try burning the ISO instead of mounting it. Some applications have incompatibility with mounted ones. magik10 Try downloading the Audigy 4 surmix.exe from the separate archive and if that doesn't work, try using older ones from Audigy 2 ZS pack.

But in the Entertainment Center there's only Audigy driver, I cant select A2ZS driver, so that the remote application not work, hichic

Download the 7zip program from http://www.7-zip.org/ and uncompress that file. You'll have the ISO file after uncompressing...

That driver doesn't support audigy 2 value yet. At least I think that's why it doesn't find your sound card.
