Connecting Audigy 2 Platinum I/O to new Audigy 2 ZS (urgent answers pls)

Hi everybody,

I am currently using an Audigy 2 Platinum with fron panel. Because this card is 6.1 card and I have 7.1 Creative Speakers, I am going to buy Audigy 2 ZS (7.1). But I don't want to purchase Audigy 2 ZS Platinum because I already I have front panel. So my question is; Can I use my Audigy 2 Platinum's I/O Front Panel with Audigy 2 ZS? Audigy 2 ZS has got AD_EXT Pins on its board but I wanted to ask you if it will work?

And also does Audigy 2 ZX come with MediaSource 2 or 1?

Yes, it does. Two cards are same but difference of quantity of DAC (6.1 and 7.1). I don't think it's worthy to buy a new one.

i don't remember what software my a2zs came with, come to think of it, i can't even remember if it came with any software…

but yes the front panel should work just fine

waste of money man!... unless you really want to use that extra speaker but besides u wont see or hear much of a diffrence to justify the diffrence of the cost.

So I've just changed my card (audigy 2 platinum) with my friend's audigy 2 zs (only the boards, I kept the I/O hub).

And will I have to install Audigy 2 Platinum or Audigy 2 ZS Platinum drivers to use the connections of HUB? Or will they work with only ZS drivers?
