I say once again: GREAT drivers
Now I'am waiting for fixed version of 1.2 drv and for Audigy4 applications ![]() There is only one thing what I would like to have in next versions of this great PAX Drivers: Option for disabling basse cutting from sattelites in bass redirection - this bass redirection should work only for subwoofer without any changes in signals for rest of speakers (sattelites). Classic Leon it is possible to do ?? ??I searching for some way to disable basse cutting from speakers by bass redirection for a long time....but nobody and nowhere can halp me :

I don't believe it. If you really find any virus, just remove this virus. So far, I haven't found any virus. Whatever, thank you for the information.

FPPfan:This is the way Creative WDM drivers work. If this is changed, entire drivers must be rewritten. I mentioned this to YouP but he hasn't given me any replys about this thread. I think he's so busy that he can't do too many works at once. But I will ask him again.
evolve1: YouP just changes that control panel's language. No other bugs

The PaX drivers don't contain any virus. Avast showed me the same. It said trojan.gen or something like that, but It's a mistake. I think It will probably mess up with the chinese characters of the PaX drivers.

One more question:
Which PaX drivers would be fine with Sound Blaster Live! 24bit and which would be the improvements with that card?

I have just install the drivers!
![]() There was no virus of course. One question: I uninstalled all previous drivers for my Audigy 2 oem (previously upgraded by softmoded drivers to ZS) and installed the NewYear 1.2 but I have no software (no eax console, no volume control, etc). Can I download mediasource or install my ZS software with this PAX drivers? Its possible to install MediaSource 3 for Audigy4? Thanks a lot again! Last edited by pepeluis; Jan 16, 2005 at 09:38 AM. |

Select english language in instalator window
And you won't have chinese language in installation at all (only in ontrol Panel but this is already fixed - just replace 3 files from archive - i posted link to this archive)

XibaD, according to the information YouP gives, next YouP drivers for SBLive will not sopport Sound Blaster Live! 24bit, because of some information of the card's ID is deleted by Creative. I don't know much, but I know your SBLive card supports EAX3 if you use VXD drivers, but VXD are WIN9X/ME drivers and I think no more guys who wanna use this kinda OS any more
. But if you all want it, YouP will produce a this kinda of set of drivers for you. Under WINNT system, new set will be WDM drivers, which support EAX2, but you can use this drivers to internal record(I don't know about English word for this function, I hope you know what I'm talking about) at 96KHz/20Bit. And, actually SBlive cannot provide hardware-decoding for DOLBY, what your sound card is doing now on your compter is just software-decoding.

These drivers have been re-uploaded. PAX NewYear 1.2 drivers now you are downloading have no bugs.
![]() If you downloaded these drivers before, please check first page of this thread to fix the language issue.

I think what you are trying to say is that the next release will provide internal decoding at 96KHz/24bit (for example to increase the sound quality in DVD playback). Well, that's great news. I personally I thank YouP for all the efforts done and you for answering us all so soon. THANK YOU. Confirm if all I said is true or if I'm getting a little wrong. Do you know when the release will be out? Will it include soft? Again, thanks to classic_leon and YouP for the efforts done.

One thing I can confirm is that you can use stardard SBLive card to record the sound source at 96KHz(but it's only 20bit, because DAC of SBLive works at maximum 20Bit)
. And I can't give more information for this including release date, because I don't know too much .

The EAX options are in the CP from what I can see. As for volume control, you can enable this through windows sound and audio in the CP by ticking show in task bar. I hope that helps you.

Thanks cypher_138!
I guess if mediasource 3 or the audigy4 cd application can be installed with this drivers. I have download mediasource 3 from the web but it doesn't install... may be pfmod.dll like the ZS mod? any idea? Other thing... why my microphone does not work with this drivers or the ZS modded drivers? My mic only works with the original Audigy 2 oem drivers! ![]() Thanks!!!! Good job |

Gave up on the new drivers. Tried this driver based on the Audigy4 framework from v1.0 to 1.2, and all freezes my computer when starting up on my Audigy2 Platinum. Even tried doing a fresh installation of windows 3 times on v1.2 but still freezes on startup 80% of the time. Wierd thing is my 2nd computer which uses the Audigy2 bare card had no problem. Anyway, thanks for the work! I'll just go back go 3.69.

I'm not sure about the mediasource or mic issue. I currently don't have a mic to test it with. Perhaps someone here can verify this and provide a way to remedy this issue. If this driver doesn't work with a mic it would defeat it's purpose for gaming since VoIP is a big part of many online games via TS et al programs. Classic_Leon can you help out with this one?

Mic Working Using The Windows Mixer.
To get the mic working you have to use Windows mixer, since this release doesnt have the other software with it, yet. For windows XP go to Sounds and Audio Devices in Windows Control Panel and on the Audio tab click Volume under Sound Playback. On the Play Control window that pops up make sure you see a slider for microphone, if you dont see a slider for miccrophone, select Options/Properties from the play control toolbar and place a checkmark in microphone.
Also in the Properties window check the radio buttons for "playback" and "recording" under "Adjust volume for" and make sure the microphone slider is added to the mixer and not muted. You can also select to have a volume Icon placed on your taskbar by placing a checkmark in the box that reads "Place volume icon in taskbar" from Sounds and Audio Devices on the Volume tab. If you dont like using the Windows mixer, alternatively, you can install the software from the A2-ZS-PAX release and have the Creative mixer, but I'm not sure if installing this software would degrade any functionality of this new Creative_PAX-NewYearv1.2 release. Classic Leon can comment about this. He has already suggested at least once in this thread that a person might want to try using the A2-ZS-PAX software for the NewYearv.1.1 driver release. I'm just going to wait for the modded Audigy 4 software to be released, classic leon has said the team was already working on it, so I'll use the Windows mixer till then.
