New drivers have been released.

PAX-NewYear v1.1 drivers for Win2000、WinXP、Win2003、Longhorn (not WIN98、WINME; installation requires to abort if you do so, and then click “OKâ€� to exit) support Audigy (not Audigy LS), Audigy2, Audigy2 ZS LS(Audigy2 value), Audigy2 ZS Notebook(Audigy2 PCMCIA), EMU1212 and Audigy2 ZS; but no SB Live supported(SB live modded drivers are coming soon). Please install Microsoft Direct X 9.0C or higher version before you install these drivers. Because these drivers enhance sound quality, you could turn down your volume on speaker setting lower than 75%.

Features:

-Add “Creative volume control� tweak of A2 ZS value Package (but cannot select quantity of speakers); you are able to adjust most of functions directly for your sound card.

-support more cards includes Audigy2 ZS Notebook (Audigy2 PCMCIA)

-Automatically detect the type of your Operating System

-Fix several puny bugs.

To ensure your installation completed, please uninstall all sound drivers now you are using! Use PAX uninstaller to remove current PAX drivers, do not to use PAX-NewYear v1.1 uninstaller to remove the old drivers on your OS.

These drivers keep tone details well and do not modify original timbre. Please use High quality media sources to play music; hissing is easy to emerge form low quality sources played.

How can I use the THX console?

I can't seem to be able to find that in this PAX 1.1 New year set.

Is there a way to install a THX Setup Console from another driver set, like A2 ZS Pax drivers?

I'd also like to use Creative Surround Mixer, because it's so much faster than using the Windows Mixer.

Is it possible to get that installed somehow?

I'm running A2 Platinum eX hardware with Pax A4 New year 1.1 set now.

EDIT: Answering myself.

I downloaded A2zs PAX driver setup, extracted the control panels from there and installed only them (not drivers).

Now I can use the THX control panel and Creative Surround mixer, while drivers remain those from A4 Pax New Year set 1.1.

Is there a way to retain the equalizer settings ?

After playing any game the settings are turned off, and i have to turn on and adjust again.

Thanks for the new PAX New Year 1.1 drivers, Classic_Leon. I noticed that when I ran the "diagnostics" after install, the report stated that both the Mixer and Mixer Settings had "failed." When i reinstalled 3.69g, both of these had "pass." I am uncertain what significance this has but any driver install that has a "fail" to it is disconcerting. Also, could you elaborate on the sound quality improvements with the1.1's.

A4 YouP-Pax 1.1 New Year's does NOT contain Audigy 4 versions of THX control panel, Surround Mixer, etc.

Some of these are more recent than the latest availalbe A2ZS versions in Pax sets or what are available from Creative.

Is it possible to get access to the latest Audigy 4 related Control Panels namely:

- Speaker Settings
- EAX Console
- Speaker Calibration
- Graphic Equalizer
- Surround Mixer
- THX Console

... in cases where they are later versions and still compatible with other A2 gear?

PFMOD.dll is the main file for cracking A1 to A2ZS
Ghunqha: I think the game you play change your EQ setting. You can enter Control Panel, Creative Control Panel to always enbale the EQ set you want BTW, did you have the same problem with Creative original drivers?
Graham: You have to reinstall all software and drivers And new set mainly fixes bugs, sound quality is the same as 1.0 version
halcy: this new set of drivers were made used a part of A4 drivers(for example, the framework of A4 drivers). Actually 100% A4 drivers are useless, there will be no improvement after you install it. We tried that installed full Audigy4 software pack and drivers(A4 software pack and drivers must work together), then we just got nice view(A4 icons) for looking and no new functions improved. So I suggest you install A2ZS pack with this new set of drivers. Maybe it will work more stably.
dj_stick: This new control panel has one more tweak for "Dolby Digital Ex" and "Dolby Pro Logic". You are able to enable, disable or "set to AUTO" on the panel. But you don't have to install if you do not want it, and Drivers Installation will ask you whether you want to install it.

Other links are not yet available, Beacause of the first time YouP uploaded the drivers which are spoilt ; the divers you have downloaded got bugs. But he has re-uploaded drivers to "http://www.cnbeta.com/club/pubdriver...ewYearv1.1.rar" and he will re-upload to the sites beside "http://www.cnbeta.com/club/pubdriver...ewYearv1.1.rar" soon.

I already tried the KX-driver, but since they do not have EAX-support, it was just a short testing.

This driver really sounds wonderful. The bass is more precise, the positioning of stereo- and surround-effects is worlds better. So thanks for the work, and I'm looking forward to new versions

What I'm wondering is, how this driver has been modded? Is it just the original Creative Audigy 4 driver, or have some things been changed? And if yes, what and how?

PAX-NewYear v1.1 drivers were modded upon the set of [color=#dddddd]Sound Blaster Audigy 2 series and Audigy 4 Drivers 5.12.10.1042's files are modified, framework is changed, and etc. Modded manually or by using YouP's own editing tools(I don't exactly know what they are).[/color]

Hi Classic leon:

I started trying these NewYear v1.1 Drivers, so far they make the Audigy sound very good (I'm impressed!) listening to music. I have 2 partitions on one HDD with Win XP installed on both partititions. One setup is for music production, the other is for Internet and Gaming. I was thinking about using these NewYearv1.1 drivers for my Gaming setup.

Some people are still thinking that there is no EAX support in the NewYearv1.1 Driver release. Although I noticed there is no ASIO support, I don't think that's totally true for EAX. (I made a custom Installation of the A2-ZS-PAX software mod, but I unselected the Windows driver option. Then, I installed the NewYearv1.1 driver release and rebooted.) I can go to EAX console and select different Environment effects, and I hear the effect, so I think EAX is supported to some extent, anyway. So, can you clear up this matter of wether EAX (Eax2, EAX3,or EAX4) is supported with the Newyearv1.1 driver release? I haven't tried any EAX games, yet. So, I can't comment on driver performance in that area at this time.

Since I'm looking for drivers to support my Gaming setup, would it be better for me to use the [color=#ffffff]YouP-PAX ZS v3.69f or YouP-PAX ZS v3.69g release, instead of the NewYearv1.1 release?[/color]

I downloaded the NewYearv1.1 release before you posted that "...YouP uploaded the drivers which are spoilt ; the divers you have downloaded got bugs." They seem to work OK to me, what bugs are there or what else specifically is wrong? Also as 2 others have noted before me, the new links you posted for the NewYearv1.1.rar do not work. Can you, please, post working links, or make another comment about the non-working links?

EAX (Eax2, EAX3,or EAX4) are supported in [color=#ffffff]NewYearv1.1[/color], Because of thi set of drivers are modded drivers. And admin_guo told me [color=#ffffff]NewYearv1.0 not only support [color=#f0f0f0]EAX (Eax2, EAX3,or EAX4), but also support the something like beginning of EAX5(but it is not EAX5); is it true? I also don't know... But this "thing" has issues of bugs on somebodies' PCs, so it was removed in New Year1.1. But this "thing" will come out again with New Year 1.2[/color][/color]
These drivers are really better than YouP PAX 3.69. You can read the notes for features
Links for New Year 1.2 are soon come out guys
I haven't tried these drivers on Audigy2ZS Platinum Pro, but I think you could use those new features I posted.

Thanks for clearing that up. So far, I'm having no problems other than some occassional, squeal of death freezes in some games, which is a matter Creative never could fix, so I know it's not the fault of you all's work with this NewYearv1.1 release.
